Who is Colin?

I'm a regular guy raised by first generation Chinese immigrant parents.  I grew up in lower-income household in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  This was where I got my first weight set (those wonderful cement filled weights) and my lessons in the kitchen.

Eat!
Not a chef by any means, but I love to cook and EAT and I don't believe a healthy meal has to taste bland. I try to keep my recipes simple and affordable for the average joe. Easy to prepare with fresh and healthy ingredients; I hope to keep your wallet fat and your waistline thin. If you enjoy these recipes, feel free to send me feedback once you have attempted them in the kitchen. I am always looking for input and new recipes to try. Check back often!

Train!
I started weight training when I was 17.  I remember going to the high school weight room but I had no clue what I was doing.  Not wanting to look out of place, I grabbed a 10 lb weight and I attempted to curl it.  It wouldn't budge, so that's where my journey began.

Initially, I learned through trial and error, figuring out what did and didn't work for my body.  I was always trying different techniques and willing to do anything once (except steroids).  Hurting here, straining there and finding out about muscles that I didn't know existed.

Live!
I hope my experiences and advice can inspire you live the most fulfilling life possible. Life is short, we only get one chance, so let's make the best of it!
